Wow! It has been a long time since my last post! So much has been going on. I moved back to my hometown to pursue a career in nursing! Tomorrow is my last day of my CNA course and I had to share what I made for my classmates! Using the SU In Color palette, I created these adorable gift boxes. Thanks to my Big Shot and exclusive Stampin' Up! Bitty Box & Envelope die, Boho Blossoms punch and Circle Circus stamp set, I think they turned out great. Since taking on this new chapter in my life I haven't had much time to do anything creative. I must have needed to craft, because this is th
e first time in a long time that something turned out as good as I hoped! The chocolates inside could have easily been covered in a decorated sticker label or cardstock strip, but I decided these boxes were great as is! ;) Enjoy, and thanks for looking!

Mini Scrapbook
I just love how this turned out! It was so easy, I have no idea why I didn't attempt this long ago! All I did was cut out 3"X3" squares of Mellow Moss cardstock, and attached them with a couple of strips of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I alternated the frames for the pictures with the Scallop Square and the 1&3/8" square punch. I printed some pictures I had onto Whisper White cardstock and punched them out with the 1&1/4" square punch. To get these pictures to come out right I just modified the color with home software, and copied and pasted them onto Microsoft Word. I sized the pictures by 'right clicking' and playing with the options so that I would get the photo size I wanted. Then I stamped the flowers from "One of a
Kind" stamp set with Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Mellow Moss and Close to Cocoa, using the coordinating Boho Blossoms to punch them out. I alternated using adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals to get some texture when attaching the flowers. This project was finally complete when I attached some brads and white satin ribbon. I can't wait to give this to somone!

Mosaic Card

I love the way this card turned out! I tried a mosaic technique where you create your own puzzle on the front of the card. The materials I used for this card include ink and paper from Always Artichoke and Creamy Caramel, Very Vanilla cardstock, Baroque Motifs stamp set, Stampin' Dimensionals, 1-1/4 " Square, Scallop Square, and Boho Blossoms punch. Even though the flower punch was not designed to coordinate with the stamp set, I think it worked perfectly! After cutting the Very Vanilla cardstock into the design I was looking for I sponged the edges with Creamy Caramel ink to create dimension. I think my favorite part of this card is that I was able to make it very pretty, but can use it as a masculine card. We'll see if my brother actually looks at this blog! :)

Stamping Day
Instead of organizing my place like I was supposed to, I stamped all day yesterday. I just couldn't help myself! I made a couple of cute projects that I wanted to post and here they are!
I made this butterfly card using the retired Kind Thoughts stamp set. T
his could easily be replicated using the current stamp sets in the new catalog called Great Friend pg 107, Flight of the Butterfly pg 108, or my personal favorite that I can't wait to get For All You Do pg 118. I had so much fun making this card I had to repeat it in a bunch of different colors! I paired Certainly Celery with Mellow Moss, Basic Gray with Basic Black, Pretty in Pink with Regal Rose, Bashful Blue with Brocade Blue, and Pale Plum with Perfect Plum. With simple ribbon, a silver brad and a Scallop Edge punch, you have got yourself a really pretty card!
The next project I made was inspired by Jen Jackson's blog referencing Nicole Hedy's blog. These blog's are both great resources of ideas. Jen is the first person to put a rubber stamp in my hand and started my need to own everything Stampin' Up! sells!
This cute box measures about 3" across and 1&1/2" deep. It is a very simple origami box kicked up a notch using Stampin' Up! paper and inks. It would be a really fun gift box dressed up with some ribbon and cute tags! I used the 'Roc
k n Roll' technique with So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie inks, and Close to Cocoa with Mellow Moss for accents. By using the Stampin' Up! cardstock is this box is very sturdy, and you can really see here how well the Mellow Moss ink matches the Mellow Moss cardstock. Anyone who has gone to the craft store to buy an ink pad can tell you, you never know what color it is actually going to show up as. For this reason I can't stand using anything but Stampin' Up! cardstock and inks.

Poppers!

Here is a new project I tried out! How cute would these be for a party favor? I used a pattern I got from the Stampin' Up! website, Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper II from a hostess set level one, and simple white ribbon. Each popper is wrapped with the opposite side of itself; two pattens in one! I am trying out some new projects to hold a class coming soon!

Learning to Manage a Blog :)
Hello Everyone! I posted some links to the left of the blog in case you wanted to check them out. These include the current catalog, Occasions Mini catalog and Decor Elements brochure, all of which will expire June 30th. The list of items that will retire on that date is included as well, so have fun browsing!
A promotion that is going on through the month of June has to do with workshops. If you hold a workshop this month that has $250-$399.99 in sales, you as the hostess will receive an additional $20 in free merchandise! To go one step further, if you have a workshop with $400+ in sales, you would be eligible to receive an additional $20 in free merchandise! Potentially $40 in free stuff from Stampin' Up! is always a great present to yourself!
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Have a great weekend! I am off to go fishing with my dad for the week!
