I made this butterfly card using the retired Kind Thoughts stamp set. T
his could easily be replicated using the current stamp sets in the new catalog called Great Friend pg 107, Flight of the Butterfly pg 108, or my personal favorite that I can't wait to get For All You Do pg 118. I had so much fun making this card I had to repeat it in a bunch of different colors! I paired Certainly Celery with Mellow Moss, Basic Gray with Basic Black, Pretty in Pink with Regal Rose, Bashful Blue with Brocade Blue, and Pale Plum with Perfect Plum. With simple ribbon, a silver brad and a Scallop Edge punch, you have got yourself a really pretty card!
The next project I made was inspired by Jen Jackson's blog referencing Nicole Hedy's blog. These blog's are both great resources of ideas. Jen is the first person to put a rubber stamp in my hand and started my need to own everything Stampin' Up! sells!
This cute box measures about 3" across and 1&1/2" deep. It is a very simple origami box kicked up a notch using Stampin' Up! paper and inks. It would be a really fun gift box dressed up with some ribbon and cute tags! I used the 'Roc
k n Roll' technique with So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie inks, and Close to Cocoa with Mellow Moss for accents. By using the Stampin' Up! cardstock is this box is very sturdy, and you can really see here how well the Mellow Moss ink matches the Mellow Moss cardstock. Anyone who has gone to the craft store to buy an ink pad can tell you, you never know what color it is actually going to show up as. For this reason I can't stand using anything but Stampin' Up! cardstock and inks.

Cute Katie! I like the monocromatic look on the butterflies!
